The last few weeks I have been busy behind the scenes preparing for my solo art exhibition 'Reflections of Light' which starts on Tuesday 16th July. Unfortunately this means my painting has had to go on the back burner for me at the moment whilst I get everything ready.
I would really love to outsource some jobs that need to be done at the moment so that I can concentrate on more painting but financially I'm not yet in the position to do so, so until such times I'm a one man band!
I will be exhibiting my latest paintings in the back room of Godshill Methodist Church, Godshill, Isle of Wight PO38 3HZ on Tuesday 16th July until Saturday 20th July, 10am-5pm daily. Entry is free, with free parking in the village car park close by.
This exhibition brings together what I've been working on over the past year or so, a combination of my love of colour, dramatic skies and the sea seems to be a common thread running throughout my paintings. My new paintings are mainly in watercolour, I love how the medium lends itself to how I want to portray the mood in my paintings, the ease and speed in which I can mix and apply the paint and how the colours blend and merge seamlessly together giving effects that are unique to watercolour.
Why not pop in and come and meet me and see what I've been up to, if there's anything you want to ask then please feel free to.
