Ruminate To Paint

Do other artists ruminate over what painting they're hoping to paint in the future, or is it just me? I take photos and have certain images that seem to embed into my mind and stay there until the time is 'right', other times I can see a view, take a photo and want to paint it straight away. These pictures below have been ruminating in the back of my mind for a little while now, since October 2019 in fact. They remind me of 'Going on a Bear Hunt' story that I used to read to my daughter. I couldn't decide which one to use so I've drawn all four, which in their own way kind of tell a story, there's something that I just love about them.

Hopefully with the end of the summer school holidays in sight I can get back to some painting soon, watch this space!
