Who Else Wants Summer to Arrive?

I don't know about you but after all this relentless stormy weather that we've had lately I can't wait for Spring and Summer to arrive. I saw this row of colourful beach huts along the front at the Duver, St Helens whilst out walking with the family on one of the rare days this month when it wasn't actually raining and I was inspired to paint it. I loved the row of multi-coloured beach huts that adorn the sea wall and how these too seem to be waiting patiently for the onset of summer. This piece which I think I will call 'Yearning For Summer' is what I am currently working on at the moment and although I haven't quite finished it yet I've added the progression photos so far.
